2008 Qantas Film and Television Awards
The Screen Directors Guild of New Zealand and the New Zealand Television Broadcasters' Council came together to recognise the best of the best in the New Zealand film and television industry.
Previously run as separate awards (the New Zealand Screen Awards and the New Zealand Television Awards) the new awards programme celebrated achievements in 58 categories. The Best of the Best
From best feature film to best short film, from best news to best drama and best actor to best actress the new programme also included a dedicated craft awards ceremony recognising the talents of some of our leading script writers, editors, cinematographers and camera people.
