CBR reports that at during the DCU: Countdown to Crisis panel at Wizard World LA ..Darwyn Cooke turned the conversation to his friend Jimmy Palmiotti, who with Justin Gray wrote an issue of "Jonah Hex" especially for Darwyn Cooke to draw. Progressiveruin.com reports Cooke discussing the plot.

This issue brought a much needed reversal of the gradual decline in sales. Jimmy Palmiotti commented the sales spike for hex with the darwyn issue would have been better but dc sold out of the extra copies and didnt go back to print on it...so the only way to get it is to get the upcoming trade probably out next year.
