Craig ParkerA group of kids with radio controlled cars (and a RC helicopter with a cam) helping to foil some criminal gang's plans involving counterfeiting money.

Cast included Craig Parker as Nicholas Paget, and the series was directed by Steve La Hood.

Sources at TVNZ have told interested folk that sadly there are a number of copyright restrictions on this series which prevent it from being released on DVD etc.

Thanks to Joe Turnbull and Martin for the information.

IIRC This show came out just when Toy Warehouse started stocking the Tamiya RC kits, so those who could afford it could watch the RC cars go through thier paces and go out and buy one for themselves the same day! (Of course the video camera's were a different (and very expensive!) story!

Wow, this brings back memories- my Dad worked for the Tamiya importer, and drove the RC cars for this show when I was about 10. Me and my mum had a bit part pretending to be shoppers!

Not sure, sorry, I found this page when I looked it up hoping for some video clips. I know they've got episodes available for viewing at the www.filmarchive.org.nz/ in Wellington, and it apparently screened on TV in the Netherlands in the 90's: kindertv.net/.../hotshotz-1991 but I couldn't find out anything else.

Hi there,
I recently contacted NZ Onscreen, to find a copy of this series, as I had worked on the series and wanted to show my own kids! Anyway, we've found that the NZ Film Archives hold copies of the TV series filmarchive.org.nz/.../...

It looks like there are six episodes in the series.

I don't think you'll be able to obtain copies for home use, but you could request to view them in the Auckland Film Archive office. You will have to contact NZFA in Auckland with this request.
