A tale of jealousy, drunken women, cheap restaurants, kidnappers, boyfriend troubles and bad parties. The setting for this heady mix is a hard one to define. The characters have their own flats but don't seem to work. Maybe they are students? But if they are, when do they study? While not explicit, there are some adult themes here, as characters briefly discuss how their sex lives and those of their friends are going, mostly on the level of I went to a party and saw... kind of thing.

The look of the book is easy on the eyes. Female characters are cute without being too B-Girlish, and Miss mixed cross hatching, parallel lines, zip-o-tone and ink to give things a textual appearance.

While it was certainly a painless read, there wasn't much to grab the readers attention, though from the looks of the mass media these days teenage angst has a solid fan base out there. There is a slight hint of a kidnapping/murder plot along the way, but it keeps a very low profile.

In a Word: Post-prom.
