Moving flat can be a very stressful situation, and in this book we find five people all looking for somewhere peaceful to live who end up in the same house. They are a lively mix of people including a flamboyant clothes designer and two people who used to be a couple but now have new partners. Told to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas, the trials and tribulations of getting a home so close to the festive season are told in a light hearted and sexy manner that allows for both the delightful and painful aspects of communal living to shine through.

Complicating matters is the ex-couple in the place, suggesting that there could be more than the usual tensions in the New Year. The well defined characters lead one to suspect this is part of an ongoing serial. I certainly hope so because these people are original, interesting and believable.

Jeremy's art is a mix of loose lines, haphazard layouts, consistent character drawing and great attention to costuming. The people here look lively without being too looney for everyday reality. The rainy days look cold, the house they live in seems slightly ram shackled and the Christmas diner made my mouth water.

Great for those of you who have survived the tortures of flatting with your sense of humour intact

In a Word: Domesticated.
