A magazine devoted to small press that includes interviews, opinion pieces, DIY guides, classifieds and lots and lots of reviews.

Not sure if this was sent in for review, the SBC office passed in on with the last batch of small press. The folks at Obsurity Unlimited sure work hard, they are always posting in the discussion boards here and in most of the small press mailing lists. How they find time to write all the reviews and other articles for this I'll never know. This issue has a great lurid "Alien carries away bikini girl" cover, and is well laid out inside with some colour illustrations accompanying the articles and reviews.

For news and contact details concerning the small press world this is a good deal. Roughly 60 short reviews ere with full contact details, some comics I recognise, some I don't. The short format for the reviews means you don't get much more than "I Liked" "I didn't like" comments, but there's also a rating system as well to give a better idea of the material. The magazine also serves as a host to the Dimestore Distro, which for this issue (June) listed 16 comics for order. The order sheet seemed aimed at shop owners, which is a good thing for those who like me find them hard to deal with at times.

Seems like this magazine is a good way to get your comic out in front of the public and to keep up to date with what other creators are up to.

In a Word: Informative.
