Seems as though there is a parallel universe were those scumbag Nazi's won the war. 50 years later the rule the world with a mix of science and dark magic. One of their scientists is investigating a gem that has some special temporal qualities. Suddenly there is an explosion, and the action jumps to our reality. Where a guy working in a music store and cafe don't feel too well. All of a sudden he is teleporting all over his home town and finds himself in Nazi World...

This tale of time travel with an anti-eighties music and depression suffering singer songwriter as the hero brought a pleasant smile to my face. The fast pacing and quirky style gives it a fresh quality, and even in the middle of all the weirdness the main character still seems almost normal.

The art team have combined their efforts well, with layouts that are easy to follow and illustrations that are clear and energetic. This is achieved with an effective mix of thin line work with heavier inking in places. Mauricio’s grey scales are eye-catching; one of the few uses of them that I’ve seen that is more than just random filling up of shapes with random shades of grey.

For a fun piece of Sci-Fi action adventure this book is right on the money. Be sure to make the time to check it out.

In a Word: Fantastical
