A collection of humorous and touching short strips populated with robots, vampire snails and other creatures of the imagination.

It's always very hard to analyse the simple pleasures in life. There are no long-winded arguments to expound, no elaborate aesthetic theories to outline; you can't draw a huge tract in comic form to elaborate your grand view of it. There is just this warm feeling of satisfaction. You certainly don't win any reviewing prizes for telling folks about a simple pleasure.

To hell with prizes or glory. This is a fun collection of stories. They made me giggle as well as nod in agreement with the straightforward sentiments expressed. Matt has a direct drawing style that would make for great t-shirt designs, and in comic form they are stylish without affectation; they just look right. All the characters are cute, be they robots, strange humanoid creatures or the author himself.

The stories cover a range of odd events with no detailed plots. The characters talk about their feelings, have strange arguments, promise to protect each other from harm. It's a nice world Matt creates. I want to live there. We'd all be cute together, except for the vampire snails - they're scary. Get the comic and I'm sure you will giggle and have fun too.

In a Word: Charming.
