A miner unearths a coffin, takes it to the surface to open and out flies an albatross. A photographer on a ship takes a photograph of the albatross and the picture is published in a book. A child finds the book in a library, then leaves.
The artwork here is very well executed in a style that looks like woodblock printing. Unfortunately it is wasted on a symbolic non-plot that goes for enigmatic evocation of atmosphere instead of narrative, characterization, dialogue etc.

In a Word: Meaningless.
