If you live and breath Manga then this book will be right up your alley. Shaindle has an excellent grasp of the conventions of the Manga art style with artwork that would not look out of place in anime.

Story wise, issue one collects various short comics, from an interesting tale of time travel and decadence, an X-rated conversation to a few cartoons. The time travel piece is the most interesting, with some nice drawings of the characters in dinner jackets and evening gowns.

Issue 2 contains just the one story which involves political intrigue, conspiracies, pixies and first dates. It suffers from dealing with too many ideas at once, without any of the plots being exciting enough to grab the reader's attention. There is no consistent tone in the story. The artwork suffers from some poor reproduction that turns a lot of the shading into a mess, but the well-drawn characters still look good.

In a Word: Patchy.
