Left CHTV-3 in 1971 having made a pronounced success of his front job with South Tonight to become front man for Gallery. Born in Canada, he was working his way round the world when he reached New Zealand in 1965. He married a Christchurch girl and joined the N.Z.B.C. after a brief period teaching Latin and English at Burnside High School
