If the Cat Laps (4/4/1982)

AKA Mr Lewis Calling, which was the title of a 1981 radio play written by Vincent O’Sullivan, part of a group of three radio plays he wrote he dubbed “modern fantasies.” The radio play was a marketing fantasy.

Helen, the wife of an ambitious young advertising man attends a Howick dinner party. They are to dine with Gary’s big boss from Australia. The jargon of the super-sell, the motivated market and product priorities are wittily turned into a nonsense by Helen as she takes their world of business seriously.

Photos from natlib.govt.nz show the production of the drama under the title Mr Lewis Calling and state it was filmed by DNTV-2.

When the drama was screened as part of the Loose Enz (1982) series its title had changed:
