A Christchurch lawyer, ALAN GRANT, also thinks "Guess What” is a fun series. Better known in Christchurch for his stage work (Merely Players) it is Alan’s first step into television. He says in some ways working on stage is easier, because of direct audience contact but he says that “Guess What” is a pleasurable programme to be involved in.
PAM MALING is more at home with modern objects. Pam who is 28, is self-employed in screen printing clothes. She admits the reason she enjoys “Guess What” is the money she receives for sitting on the panel. It will help pay her way on an overseas trip at the end of the series. However, the programme itself also interests Pam and she says the game is fun.
'BILL EVANS, credit manager for a furniture and hardware store. His only other venture into television has been commercials. His wife and two young children are quite happy about him being on the programme, and he himself enjoys it immensely.
HELEN GARRETT, a housewife and city councillor. With a family of three boys, a university professor husband and council work, her life is hectic. Mrs Garrett says “Guess What” is fun and relaxing and that her best guesses will probably be with antiques, as she can remember a lot of things from her grandmother’s dressing table.
