Tells the story of the gold rush on Dunedin and Otago province. Reconstructs events using archival photographs, newspaper clippings and personal accounts. Although some found wealth and prosperity in the mining towns, many also succumbed to severe winters and flooding in 1863. The pioneer miners legacy remains in the population that was established in the province of Otago.
