A collection of strips of various lengths concerning the adventures two balls of.... stuff. They are trying to make a living as private investigators. The character dynamics between the two are very Odd Couple Fuzzball is prime and proper, neat and tidy while Scuzzball is a lazy, foul-mouthed drunkard who gets into as much trouble as he can.

The strips in this collection cover a range of stories, from self-referential comic humour, relationship problems and a detective parody. The humour isn't exactly laugh out loud material, but there are a few grin inducing lines here and there. The detective case of The Totem is a well thought out detective tale that hold together quite well. The artwork varies from rough to polished cartoon style. The two main characters have a surprisingly wide range of facial expressions for a couple of stuff.

The set up has lots of scope for development. I found this collection a bit flat in places. Perhaps next issue the hit to miss ratio will improve.

In a Word: Uneven.
