A guy on his own is thinking through how he got to this point in his life. Appears that he and a girlfriend have come to a parting of the ways. The relationship meant a lot to him, and he regrets that it had to end, but at the same time he accepts that the decision had to be made. He starts to think about what to do now...

Trevor shows a sound understanding of the pacing of a comic. For an internal monologue this book is surprisingly engrossing. The images reflect the content of the dialogue, complementing the comments with observations of the character's facial expressions and body language getting across a lot that isn't put into words. A necklace clasped in a hand has a lot of emotional weight without spelling everything out.

The page layouts that Trevor uses are quite inventive, flowing around the text in interesting ways. It is also good to see care being taken on the lettering. Some might say the use of a computer font is cheating, but when the story places weight on the text, having clear and attractive dialogue is essential.

While not much actually happens in this issue, it works well as an introduction to a character, hinting at further developments (Just why does he have an automatic pistol?) and sets a serious tone that intrigues. Well worth tracking down.

In a Word: Sorrow.
