Most of the mythical creatures have left the human realms since the persecution started in the witch hunts. There are however a few strays who turn up now and then. Kult's job is to hunt them down and return them to the correct world; she's a ghoul retriever, so good at here job that she has been assigned to the Urban Legends files in the hope that she can track them down once and for all.

David illustrates the book in a stylish manner with with gouls that look both scary and funny at the same time. The line-work is kept very thin but careful use of small bits of texture work to add some sense of presence to the physical surroundings in an economic manner.

The cast of characters is interesting; with nasty monsters, scared children and a nifty shadow creature who serves as Kult's partner. The interact through very readable dialogue - it's quite light hearted but takes the premise seriously. The lettering stands out as stylish while being easy to read - something that is often overlooked by creators who spend more time on the pictures and switch off all sense of taste when they ink the dialogue.

In a Word: Gem.
