How do we cope with loss, the passing our partner or our child? Nigel illustrates here a story that he wrote many years ago which deals with these issues, following a man during the day of his child's funeral.

Nigel's writing style here is very direct and the plot is nicely thought out. Artwork wise Nigel's is a naive style, his drawing of facial features needing some practice. This said, he displays some nice visual touches, such as using the steaming up of a bathroom mirror to show the passage of time.

The anger and resentment that the main character feels towards the loss of his child is dramatically portrayed, as his dialogue with a priest and later his pleas to God.

In a Word: Clarity.
