This cheque book sized comic is a meditation upon the theme of personal enlightenment through toil. The two central characters, Plus and Minus, decide that their party and heavy drinking lifestyle is doing them no good, so they set themselves the task of getting fit and climbing a mountain.

On the way up they observe how other people approach the same task and the meaninglessness of all the distractions of modern live. Once at the peak they have a new found approach to life and how they relate to each other.

This simple idea is realized in a playful and engaging manner, with funky illustrations and text that doesn't make itself too seriously but still makes the reader think about the themes involved. The production values here are high, with an attractive colour cover. Special mention must also be made of the lettering which ranges over a cool selection of styles. Plus the flip picture show is a hoot.

In a Word: Meditative.
