The New Zealand woman was appraised by a panel of experts as well as three housewives, compared by Austin Mitchell, produced by Linda McDougall. The project began after Linda discovered that there is surprisingly little information on what sort of person the New Zealand woman was and what part she played in New Zealand life. A similar appraisal of the New Zealand man was planned.
