A question from Chris

Have just seen in a gallery on Waiheke Island a man in his sixties, who I am sure you to be a well known personality on NZ TV in the 1970s. I can't remember now if he was a presenter or news reader. I think his first name was Derek, he was quite good looking in a 1970s sort of way, long brown hair with a handlebar moustache. He was a key player (presenter) in the early Telethons.

Intriguing, the only Dereks that spring to mind from that era are Derek Metzger or Derek Fox. The only way to be sure would be to look through some old newspapers or the Listener for that period and hope you see the face.

If any visitors can remember any other details that might help us identify the mystery host let us  know...
