Ailsa is a fourteen year old girl who lives with her mother in the
Woburn Hostel. Her mother is the matron at this hostel, but also works
at a nearby biscuit factory. The two incomes allow her to send Ailsa to a
private school, where she befriends Helen, and becomes Helen’s
brother’s, Calum, boyfriend. Ailsa shares a room with Gloria, who is a
student dental nurse. Soon Gloria is stalked by a mystery man, and
things start to get very tense and dangerous. It takes Ailsa and Calum
to get to the bottom of the mystery.
