Milli Adams was born in London and educated at Tottenham High School in England. She won a scholarship to Hornsey Art School and later a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After graduating with a prize in the RADA Public Show, she did a special two-year teacher training course in drama and modern educational dance. She taught these subjects-as well as art and craft - to children from 5 to 16 years - and also to adults.
She came to New Zealand in 1959 and acted in radio plays as well as working as a journalist and freelance writer. Her play-New Every Morning - was heard on the YA National Network, and she was a presenter on Button On Button Off!
She was married to radio drama producer, Dai Evans.
