Tales for children produced in Auckland by David Istance.

Each programme consisted of one story with an attractive kaleidoscope opening. The first five programmes, with frontman Merv Smith, were picture book stories of animal characters.

Programmes six to 10 were locally written and illustrated stories of a small girl and her friend, a small Maori boy. Barbara Adams fronted this section. The final five programmes, fronted by Alma Johnson, were picture book adventure stories.
