Champions) and The Roslyn Mills Kaikorai Band (runners-up for Jr Championship). Each band has its own separate Television programme lasting around twenty minutes and together they are presented under the one title A Touch of Brass. The viewer who believes that one piece of brass band music sounds pretty much The same as another and lhal it is always a march, anyway. will get a surprise when A Touch of Brass. reaches his channel later this year. The St. Kilda Band presents a skittish repertoire of pop songs and real "swinging" sounds. The Kaikorai Band dresses up bandsmen in satin cummerbunds for Zorba the Greek" theme music and in bowler hats and dark suits for The Avengers signature tune. This brass band music goes licketysplit all the way.
