Former All Black Norm Hewitt and film and television actor Manu Bennett revisit a painful episode in a dark period when they first met.
Both attended Te Aute College, where Hewitt was sexually interfered with before eventually becoming a bully. Enter Bennett, who had just lost close relatives to tragic incidents, only to find himself on the receiving end of an unprovoked and vicious beating by Hewitt.
The shared his-stories of both boys' lives before they arrived at this low point is slowly and powerfully revealed. The violence perpetrated on Hewitt when he was a little boy turned him into a simmering human volcano that erupted well into his adult life.
